Orchid Farm Excursion

After picking you up at 8 am at your hotel in Armenia, we'll head to a location in the department of Caldas, west of Manizales.

Following an hour and a half's drive, we'll arrive at this family farm whose main goal is the preservation of wildlife. There, we'll go on a quiet walk through the beautiful landscapes of the hacienda and observe its great biodiversity, including a bird sanctuary.

Next, we'll take a guided tour through the orchid and cactus nurseries, where the farmworkers will demonstrate the care of these plants. We will learn about orchids, this farm is home to nearly 3,000 orchids.

After the tour, you will have free time for lunch, to explore the surroundings, and to discover more about the conservation work of the hacienda. Finally, we'll return to Armenia and drop you off at your hotel at 5 pm.
