Quimbaya Bamboo Raft Ride

The Quimbaya bamboo raft ride offers an opportunity to experience the landscapes along the La Vieja River and observe local wildlife. Pickup will be at 9 am from your hotel in Armenia, followed by travel to the municipality of Quimbaya.

Upon arrival, an introduction will be provided before boarding the bamboo rafts, which are reminiscent of those used by pre-Columbian Indians. The navigation of the La Vieja River will last about four hours, with the route depending on river currents. Participants should be ready to enjoy the scenic views and wildlife along the way.

At the halfway point, there will be a stop at a family farm for rest and lunch, featuring sudado montañero, a traditional dish from Quindío comprising potato, yucca, plantain, beef or chicken, and salad.

The activity will conclude with a return to Armenia at approximately 2 pm.
