Bamboo Rafting Adventure on the La Vieja River

Your day begins with a pick-up from your accommodation in Armenia at 9 am. From there, we embark on a scenic drive towards Quimbaya, marking the start of your adventure!

Upon arrival, a brief orientation will provide insights into the traditional bamboo rafts, echoing the design utilized by ancient indigenous communities. This is an exciting glimpse into the roots of the craft.

With the introduction complete, we will set off on our river journey! The rafting experience spans approximately four hours, and while the exact path may vary with the currents, the breathtaking views throughout the ride are guaranteed to captivate. Be on the lookout for the diverse wildlife that calls this region home!

Midway through our adventure, we will make a stop at a local family farm to relax and enjoy a satisfying lunch. Indulge in the flavors of sudado montañero, a regional delicacy that combines potato, yucca, plantain, beef or chicken, and a side salad. It’s a culinary delight you won’t want to miss!

The excursion concludes with our return to Armenia around 2 pm, leaving you with unforgettable memories of the day.
