Quimbaya Bamboo Raft Ride

The Quimbaya bamboo raft ride offers an opportunity to experience the La Vieja River. Pickup is scheduled at 9 am from your hotel in Armenia, followed by transportation to Quimbaya.

Upon arrival, a briefing will be provided before boarding the bamboo rafts, which are similar to those used by pre-Columbian Indians. The rafting trip will last approximately four hours, with the route depending on river currents. Participants should be attentive to local wildlife during the journey.

Midway through the trip, there will be a stop at a family farm for a lunch break. The meal includes sudado montañero, a traditional dish from Quindío that features potato, yucca, plantain, beef or chicken, and salad.

The activity concludes with a return to Armenia around 2 pm.
