Rafting Adventure on the Paiva River

Our journey begins at 10:30 am when we gather at Rua do Barco to kick off this exciting rafting excursion on the Paiva River. Are you ready for a rush of adrenaline in this remarkable setting? You’ll be welcomed to the Arouca Geopark!

Upon arrival at this stunning natural site, we will provide a brief overview of the rafting tour. Following this introduction, we'll equip ourselves with life jackets and helmets before heading to the launch site for our rafting expedition on the Paiva River.

As we board the rafts, be prepared to navigate the thrilling white waters. Throughout the journey, we will glide past key geological highlights in this region of northern Portugal, including the breathtaking Paiva Gorge, the stunning Cascata das Aguieiras, and the picturesque Praia Fluvial do Vau.

Moreover, we will paddle alongside the iconic 516 Arouca bridge—did you know it holds the title of the world's longest pedestrian suspension bridge? Its walkway reaches an impressive height of 175 meters above the Paiva River!

We will conclude our rafting experience at 2:30 pm, returning to the meeting point.
