Lake Manyara Safari

After picking you up from your hotel in Arusha, the first stop will be the village of Mto Wa Mbu. You'll learn about Tanzanian culture in this village home to nearly 120 different tribes. The locals engage in agriculture, primarily rice and bananas, and cattle raising, with cows commonly seen outside homes. Food stalls and local artists can be found in the streets.

Following the visit to Mto Wa Mbu, you'll travel to Lake Manyara National Park, declared a Biosphere Reserve in 1981. The park features diverse ecosystems including semi-arid areas, swamps, and forests of acacia and baobab.

The park is home to various wildlife, such as elephants, crocodiles, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, baboons, and around 400 species of birds. Notably, lions can be seen perched in trees, with explanations provided by the guide regarding their behavior.

In the afternoon, you'll return to the vehicles and be taken back to your hotel in Arusha.
