Climb to the top of Africa's most famous peak! The Marangu route will allow you to enjoy the unique environment while on the Mount Kilimanjaro Trek lasting 7 Days.

Mount Kilimanjaro Trek: 7 Days

The Marangu Route is the fastest and easiest way to climb to the top of Kilimanjaro. Most of the camps included in this route have running water and solar energy.

Day 1

At the appointed time, we will meet you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel in Arusha. You can rest or explore the area before the trek.

Day 2

After breakfast, we will meet with the Marangu route guides. We will depart for Marangu Gate, starting our journey of eight kilometres (5 miles), where we may spot colobus monkeys and pass through eucalyptus forests. A lunch stop will be made before reaching Mandara Huts camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3

After breakfast, we will trek an hour through jungle clearings, followed by eleven kilometres (7 miles) to Horombo Huts camp. We will enjoy views of Mawenzi volcano during lunch.

Day 4

We will prepare our trekking equipment for the day as we cross paths leading us to the port connecting Kilimanjaro with Mawenzi and Kibo. After lunch, we will hike towards Kibo summit, reaching Kibo Huts camp for the night.

Day 5

We will wake up at midnight to climb to Uhuru peak, hiking four kilometres (2 miles) to Gilman's Point to see the ice caps. We will reach the summit at 5895 meters (19000 feet) for sunrise views, then descend back to Kibo Huts and dine before heading to Horombo Huts for the night.

Day 6

We will begin the descent, reaching Mandara Huts for lunch. After descending three kilometres (2 miles) to Mandara Gate, a vehicle will take us back to the hotel in Arusha.

Day 7

We will have breakfast at the hotel and then head to the airport.

Accommodation

For the first and final night of the trek, we will stay at Maura Apartments & Lodges.On the other nights, we will eat and sleep in camps.
