La Maddalena Boat Tour

Experience a captivating adventure to the La Maddalena islands, where you'll explore the most stunning beaches of this Sardinian archipelago. This excursion includes a scenic cruise with several opportunities for a refreshing swim.

Boat Tour Overview

We'll convene at the designated time at Via del Molo Vecchio, located at the port of Cannigione. The boat will be ready to set sail through the breathtaking National Park of La Maddalena Archipelago.

During our leisurely cruise, glimpses of the northern Sardinian coastline will unfold. As we navigate, we'll encounter Porto Rafael and the Bear Rock, a strikingly bear-like rock formation. Our English audio guide will provide insightful commentary about the various sights we encounter.

Our first stop will be at Cala dell'Amore, situated on the island of Spargi. Here, you will have 1 hour and 30 minutes to immerse yourself in the crystal-clear waters for a delightful swim.

Next, we will proceed to Rosa Beach, renowned for its beauty in Budelli. Its uniquely pink sands are a significant indicator of its name, derived from the erosion of fossils and corals. Although this beach is not accessible to the public, we’ll have the opportunity to capture stunning photos of the extraordinary scenery as we pass by.

Following this, we will explore the natural pools found between Budelli, Razzoli, and Santa Maria. You’ll have an hour and a half to relish the chance to swim in these pristine waters or snorkel as you wish.

Subsequently, we'll visit the historic center of La Maddalena, with one hour of free time for lunch and exploration. Take a leisurely stroll along the harbor, or consider visiting the church of Santa Maria Maddalena and the famous Piazza Umberto I.

The excursion concludes as we return to the original meeting point after approximately 7 hours.

Essential Information

During stops, you may explore the areas independently, without a guide. Swimming breaks are permitted close to the islands while remaining on the boat to uphold environmental protection.When visiting the natural pools, enjoy swimming in the open sea. To access areas with shallower seabeds within the protected ecosystem, an additional fee of 10 EUR applies, which is not covered in the tour price.The audio guides are available for download via an app. Please bring your own headphones to enjoy the commentary.Onboard, there are two bars and a pizza restaurant where you can purchase refreshments and meals at your convenience throughout the day.
