Cilento Coast Hike

Follow in the footsteps of famous archaeologists on our Cilento Coast Hike. You'll also be accompanied by the sweet scent of the fragrant Ginestra del Cilento flower while you walk.

Cilento Coast Hike

At 9 am, we'll meet in front of the Ascea Railway Station to begin our hike along the Cilento Coast. This area in the Campania region, between the gulfs of Salerno and Policastro, is a designated World Heritage Site.

Our route will follow paths used by prestigious archaeologists, including François Lenormant, as we explore historic ruins. We will encounter the Telegraph Tower, dating back to the 16th century.

As we hike, the ginestra cilentina flowers will provide a delicate scent, enhancing our experience as we navigate through tunnels carved into cliffs and discover hidden coves.

During the hike, we will ascend to the Piano della Torre peak for panoramic views of the landscape.

We will conclude our journey back to Ascea, finishing at 12 noon.
