Ever wonder what lurks in the dark? If so, this Asheville Ghost Tour is perfect for you. Learn about the spooky legends on this tour in the state of North Carolina and discover an old cemetery!
Description
On the day of this activity, we'll meet at Riverside Cemetery, 53 Birch Street Asheville, at the indicated time to begin the tour. This is the only ghost tour in the city that stops off at a cemetery.
As we stroll through the Riverside Cemetery, we'll hear frightening tales and recount the lives of famous authors buried there, including Thomas Wolfe and William Sydney Porter. Next, we'll explore Asheville, discussing the infamous mass murderer Will Harris from 1906 and visiting the receiving vault, potentially encountering spirits of German Prisoners of War (POWs).
We'll remember the life and tragic death of Zelda Fitzgerald in the Highland Hospital fire in 1948. At the Grove Park Inn, we'll hear about the friendly spirit of the Pink Lady and the Riverside spirits near Erwin's pauper graves.
Lastly, we'll uncover the tragedies at the murder hotel, family reunions at the Basilica of St. Lawrence, and the Brown Mountain Lights.
After 1 hour, this Asheville Ghost Tour will conclude.
