Asuncion and Jesuit Missions 6 Day Tour
Day 1: Asunción
Upon arrival at Asuncion airport, a transfer will take you to your hotel. In the afternoon, explore the capital of Paraguay, learning about its history from colonization to today. A visit to the Pettirossi market will conclude your day.
Day 2: Gold Circuit
After breakfast, tour the Gold Circuit. Visit Yaguaron Church, the town of Caacupé, and the city of San Bernardino. Also, explore Aregua for ceramics and Luque for filigree metalwork. Return to Asunción for dinner and rest.
Day 3: Jesuit Missions
After breakfast, travel south to explore the Jesuit Missions, starting in San Ignacio. Discover the historical significance of these settlements. Spend the night in Encarnación by the Paraná River.
Day 4: Jesuit Missions
Visit 7 more Jesuit villages, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore The Holy Trinity of the Paraná, learning about its inhabitants' fate. Visit a Yerba Mate Factory and end the day in Ciudad del Este.
Day 5: Itaipú
After breakfast, head to Saltos del Monday Municipal Park to see waterfalls. Enjoy lunch at the viewpoint's restaurant. Next, visit the Itaipu Hydroelectric Dam. Return to Asunción for your last night.
Day 6: Asunción
After breakfast, pack and transfer to the airport for your flight home.
