Asuncion and Jesuit Missions 6 Day Tour

Day 1: Asunción

Upon arrival at Asuncion airport, transfer to your hotel for rest. In the afternoon, explore Asunción, learning about its history from colonization to the present. Visit the Pettirossi market to experience local culture before returning to the hotel.

Day 2: Gold Circuit

After breakfast, tour the Gold Circuit surrounding the capital. Visit Yaguaron Church and the historic town of Caacupé, then proceed to San Bernardino to enjoy Lake Ycaparacaí. Discover local artisanry in Aregua and Luque before returning to Asunción for dinner and rest.

Day 3: Jesuit Missions

Depart early for a guided tour of the Jesuit Missions, starting with San Ignacio. Explore the ruins and learn about the Jesuits' role in evangelizing the Guarani people. Travel to Encarnación for an overnight stay by the Paraná River.

Day 4: Jesuit Missions

After breakfast, visit seven more evangelical villages recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Discover the fate of these settlements at The Holy Trinity of the Paraná. End the day with a visit to a Yerba Mate Factory and overnight in Ciudad del Este.

Day 5: Itaipú

After breakfast, head to Saltos del Monday Municipal Park to see three 40-meter waterfalls. Enjoy some free time for lunch at the viewpoint restaurant. Next, visit the Itaipu Hydroelectric Dam before returning to Asunción for your last night.

Day 6: Asunción

After breakfast, pack your luggage for transfer to the airport to conclude your 6-day tour.
