Golden Circuit Trip

After picking you up from your hotel in downtown Asunción at 8 am, we'll set off to discover the authentic, traditional Paraguayan culture along the fabulous Golden Circuit.

The tour will begin by learning about the Christian legacy in Paraguay. In San Lorenzo, we'll visit the Jesuit baroque church, and in Yaguarón, we’ll see the famous church of San Buenaventura. The highlight will be in Caacupé, the spiritual capital of the country.

We’ll visit San Bernardino, gaining insight into its German origins, before taking a 25-minute boat ride on Ypacaraí Lake after some free time. We will stop for a buffet dinner and then explore traditional Paraguayan handicrafts.

Our next stop will be Itauguá to see the ñandutí lace, followed by a visit to Areguá, which hosts the largest artisan market in the country for souvenirs. Lastly, we’ll visit Luque, known for its gold and silver filigree jewelry. Following time for shopping, we will return to your hotel in Asunción by 6 pm.

Historic Gold Circuit

If you are passionate about history, select the Historic Gold Circuit when booking. This option combines Paraguayan history, tradition, and art with breathtaking landscapes.

We’ll begin in Sapucai at the old train station and colonial houses. We will stop in Yaguarón to visit its church, then continue to Pirayú to explore its old town and public buildings.

We’ll visit the Cerro León Camp to learn about the War of the Triple Alliance, and conclude the tour in San Bernardino by Ypacaraí Lake, returning to Asunción by 6 pm.
