3 Night Nile Cruise from Aswan to Luxor

A journey through Egypt would be incomplete without experiencing the enchanting Nile cruise, which stands out as one of the most unforgettable adventures in this remarkable destination. This three-day excursion commences in Aswan and concludes in Luxor, the fabled capital of ancient Thebes.

3 Night Nile Cruise

Day 1: Arrival in Aswan + Philae Temple

On the inaugural day, we will greet you at the Aswan airport as soon as you arrive. Alternatively, pickups are available from your hotel or the train station. You will then be trasladado in an air-conditioned vehicle to the motonave, the term for the riverboats on the Nile, marking the beginning of your cruise.

Once you are settled into your cabin, we will regroup to explore the Philae Temple. Positioned on an island and dedicated to the goddess Isis, this temple was submerged for years due to the former Aswan Dam.

Subsequently, we'll introduce you to a local perfumery where you can discover the art of fragrance-making. It’s a delightful way to start your adventure!

Day 2: Aswan – Kom Ombo – Edfu

Following breakfast, those who wish can embark on an excursion to the Abu Simbel temples, a must-see during your stay in Aswan.

Once back aboard the ship, we will enjoy lunch and set sail down the Nile, arriving at the Kom Ombo Temple just as the sun sets, creating an unforgettable scene. After exploring the temple, we will continue to Edfu, where we will dock for dinner and spend the night.

Day 3: Edfu – Esna – Luxor

After breakfast, it’s time to disembark for a horse-drawn carriage ride through Edfu to visit its temple, which honors the god Horus.

The cruise will then proceed towards the Esna lock, which operates like a boat elevator to navigate a 10-meter drop in the river. Upon reaching the grand city of Luxor, we will explore two of Egypt's most extraordinary temples: the Luxor Temple and the Karnak Temple. Interestingly, they were once linked by the 3-kilometer-long Avenue of the Sphinxes.

We will enjoy dinner and spend the night docked in Luxor.

Note: The exploration of Edfu will be by horse-drawn carriage. If you prefer a different mode of transport, please inform the guide a day in advance.

Day 4: Luxor

After breakfast and check-out around 6 am, we will head toward the nearby necropolises. Our itinerary includes a visit to the Valley of the Kings (where you can access three tombs), the Hatshepsut Temple (honoring the only female pharaoh who ruled Egypt for a significant duration), and the Colossi of Memnon. To round off the day, we will visit a local stone, sculpture, and alabaster shop to appreciate the craftsmanship.

This is also the day when you can choose to experience a thrilling Luxor Hot Air Balloon Ride.

The tour concludes around 4:30 pm, at which point we will transport you to the Luxor airport, the train station, or any other location you specify within the city.

The specific boat will be assigned one week before the cruise begins.

All boats provide a comfortable experience, making them an excellent choice for your Nile adventure. For those seeking a more luxurious journey, consider booking the premium cruises, which offer enhanced accommodations, service, and dining experiences.

If you select a standard category, you may arrive in Aswan at your convenience on the first day. The same applies for the premium category if you arrive on a Friday. However, a premium category booking with a Wednesday arrival requires you to be in Aswan before midday to join a scheduled tour.

Price Info

The listed price is per person in a double room or cabin. Solo travelers will incur an additional fee.Bookings for three people will be accommodated in a double room with an extra bed. A separate room for a third guest will incur a single supplement.

Changes to the Itinerary

The sequence of activities may be adjusted based on the boat in use, but rest assured you will partake in all activities outlined in the itinerary. Once aboard, you can also book additional excursions not included in the standard tour, such as visits to the Valley of the Queens, Deir el-Medina, or the Unfinished Obelisk.

Holiday Periods

During the period from December 20 to January 2 (Christmas) and throughout Holy Week, refunds will not be granted for cancellations.
