On this day trip, you'll explore the remarkable temples of Abu Simbel, which stand as Egypt's most iconic structures next to the grand pyramids of Giza.

Day Trip Details

The tour departs from Aswan at the specified time. We will arrange a pickup from your hotel or the boat where you are staying. Departing early is essential to arrive at the temples promptly and avoid the intense heat of midday. Along the way, relish in the unique opportunity to witness a desert sunrise.

After a 3-hour journey, we'll reach Abu Simbel, a renowned complex featuring two rock-excavated temples, one honoring Ramses II and the other dedicated to his beloved wife, Nefertari. Construction of the complex spanned 20 years under Ramses II's direction. These temples remain in excellent condition, having been buried by sand until the 19th century, thereby shielding them from deterioration.

Our guided tour will last around 1 hour, providing ample time to explore both temples and uncover their fascinating history and stories. We will discuss how the temples were relocated and Egypt's actions in exchange for international assistance during this process.

After visiting this Egyptian treasure, we will return to Aswan, with an arrival time of approximately 7 to 8 hours.
