Excursion to Abu Simbel

On this excursion, we'll visit the astonishing temples of Abu Simbel, the only monuments in Egypt comparable to the Giza pyramids.

Description

The tour departs from Aswan at the designated time. Pickup will be from your hotel or boat. It is beneficial to depart early to reach the temples in the morning and avoid the midday heat. Additionally, you will experience the sunrise in the desert.

After 3 hours of travel, we will arrive at Abu Simbel, famous for its two temples carved into the rock, one for Ramses II and the other for his wife Nefertari. The complex, constructed over 20 years, was buried under sand until the 19th century, which helped preserve it.

The guided tour will last approximately 2 hours, allowing time to explore both temples and learn their histories, including the relocation efforts undertaken for their preservation.

After our visit, we will return to Aswan, completing the trip in about 9 hours.

If your hotel or boat is not in the city center or mentioned islands, you will need to go to one of the specified meeting points.
