On this tour, we'll visit three different temples: the Roman-era Kalabasha, and rock-carved mausoleums such as Beit El-Wali from the time of Ramses II.

Itinerary

We'll begin by picking you up at your boat or hotel in the morning and head south to the Aswan dam, 20 kilometers (13 miles) from the city.

The first stop is the Kalabsha temple, dedicated to Mandulis, the Nubian Sun God. Built around 30 A.D. during the Roman period, it measures 76 meters long and 22 meters wide and was moved for the Aswan dam.

The next stop is Beit el-Wali, a small temple from Ramses II's reign, excavated in rock and dedicated to Amon-Ra. It features a patio with scenes from military campaigns against the Lybians, Asians, Ethiopians, and the Kingdom of Kush.

The last visit is to the Kiosk of Qertassi, dedicated to Isis, characterized by its entrance flanked by two columns and the head of the Goddess Hathor. This temple was also relocated due to the Aswan dam.

After the tour, we'll return you to your boat or hotel.
