Acropolis Guided Tour

On this guided tour of the Acropolis of Athens, we will explore an essential Greek temple complex in the capital of Greece.

Tour Details

We will meet at number 26 Athanasiou Diakou to commence our visit to the Upper City of Athens. We will walk up the southern slope to avoid large tourist crowds and enjoy city views. The tour will begin at the Theater of Dionysus, dating back to the 5th century BC.

We will enter the Acropolis through the Propylaea and focus on the Temple of Athena Nike. Inside, we will learn about the legends of Greek mythology while visiting the Parthenon and the Erechtheion with its caryatids. The tour lasts 2 hours and will conclude with a panoramic view of Athens.

Tour Schedule

At booking, you may select a start time of 8:15 am, 8:45 am, 9 am, or 10:30 am. Early morning tours are recommended to avoid queues and heat.

Acropolis Tickets

Guests can opt for a guided tour of the Acropolis without tickets, buying their own or picking up a free ticket based on the guided tour's schedule. Note that ticket availability is not guaranteed at the ticket office, so online purchasing is advised.

For tours between November 1 and March 31, 2026, tickets should be purchased for the slot between 9 am and 10 am. For tours between April 1 and October 31, 2026, tickets for the 8 am tour should be for 8-9 am, and for the 11 am tour, between 11 am and 12 pm.

EU citizens under 25 and non-EU citizens under 18 can enter free with ID. Adults over 65 receive a 50% discount at the ticket office or on the Acropolis website. For groups with eligible members, it is recommended to book the guided tour without tickets and acquire tickets independently.
