Acropolis Guided Tour

On this guided tour of the Acropolis of Athens, we'll visit a significant Greek temple complex.

Tour Details

At the scheduled time, we'll meet at number 26 Athanasiou Diakou to commence the guided tour of the Acropolis. From here, we will walk towards the Upper City of Athens.

We'll ascend the southern slope to minimize exposure to crowds while enjoying city views. Our tour will start with the Theater of Dionysus, dating back to the 5th century BC.

Next, we'll enter the Acropolis via the Propylaea and focus on the Temple of Athena Nike. Inside, we will explore legends of Greek mythology through the Parthenon and the Erechtheion with its caryatids. The tour concludes with panoramic views of Athens.

Acropolis Tickets

You may book the guided tour of the Acropolis without tickets. If you choose this option, you must procure your own entry ticket based on your guided tour time:

For the 8:45 am option, secure a ticket in the 9 to 10 am slotFor the 10 am option, secure a ticket in the 10 to 11 am slotFor the 2:30 pm option, secure a ticket in the 2 to 3 pm slot.

Note that there is no guarantee of ticket availability at the office on the day, so we recommend purchasing them online in advance.

EU citizens under 25 and non-EU citizens under 18 can enter for free with ID. Adults over 65 receive a 50% discount at the ticket office or on the website. Consider booking the guided tour without tickets if someone qualifies for discounts.

Entry to the Acropolis is free on certain days:

November 16, 2025December 7 and December 21, 2025January 4 and January 18, 2026February 1 and February 15, 2026March 1 and March 15, 2026
