Acropolis Guided Tour

On this guided tour of the Acropolis of Athens, we'll visit one of the most iconic Greek temple complexes in the world, essential for any visitor to Greece's capital.

Description

We will meet at number 26 Athanasiou Diakou to commence the guided tour of the Acropolis. We will walk to the Upper City of Athens, taking the southern slope to bypass large tourist crowds and enjoy scenic views. The tour will begin at the Theater of Dionysus, from the 5th century BC.

We will explore Greek mythology while visiting the Acropolis monuments: the Parthenon, temple of Athena Nike, Erechtheion with its caryatids, and the Propylaea. After 2 hours, we will conclude on a hill with one of the best panoramic views of Athens.

Tour Schedule

Upon booking, you can select a start time of 8:15 am, 8:45 am, 9 am, or 10:30 am. Early morning bookings are recommended to avoid queues and heat.

Acropolis Tickets

You may book the tour without tickets, in which case you will need to secure your own tickets according to the schedule. It’s advisable to buy them online ahead of time as availability at the ticket office is not guaranteed. From November 1st 2024 to March 31st 2025, the following ticket purchase times apply:

For the 8:45 am tour without tickets, purchase for the 9 am to 10 am time slot.For the 10 am tour without tickets, purchase for the 10 am to 11 am time slot.For the 2:30 pm tour without tickets, purchase for the 2 pm to 3 pm time slot.

EU citizens over 65 and non-EU youth aged 6 to 25 receive a 50% discount. Admission is free for EU citizens under 25 and children under 5. If group members qualify for discounts, it is advisable to book the tour without tickets and purchase the appropriate tickets to maximize savings.
