The Big Bus hop-on hop-off bus in Athens offers various routes to discover the Greek capital's main monuments comfortably. The vehicle has two storeys, an open-top roof, and an audio guide in English.

The bus has three different routes:

Grey Route (1 hour and 30 minutes): explores Athens' heritage, passing iconic spots like the Acropolis, the Parthenon, and the National Library.Purple Route - Piraeus (1 hour and 15 minutes): explores the port city of Piraeus, including the harbour and the Municipal Theatre.Green Route (1 hour and 40 minutes): offers views of the Athenian Riviera, including Flisvos Marina and Astir Beach.

During the booking process, you'll select from the following options:

48-Hour Ticket for the Grey Route: hop on and off over 48 hours at any Grey Route bus stop.48-Hour Ticket for All Routes: hop on and off over 48 hours at any bus stop on all 3 routes.72-Hour Ticket for All Routes: 72 hours to hop on and off at any bus stop on all 3 lines.

How Does It Work

The ticket is valid for 48 or 72 hours from first use. You can hop on and off as many times as you'd like. All tickets are valid for 14 days from the purchase date.

Schedule & Frequency

Grey Route (1 hour and 30 minutes): from 9 am to 9 pm every 20 minutes; last departure at 6 pm from Bus Stop 4 (Acropolis).Purple Route - Piraeus (1 hour and 15 minutes): from 9:40 am to 5 pm every 40 minutes.Green Route (1 hour and 40 minutes): first departures at 9 am and 11 am; afterward, departures every 60 minutes until 5 pm.
