Classical Greece Tour: 4 Days

Delve into the past and discover Ancient Greece on a 4-day trip to Epidaurus, Mycenae, Olympia, Delphi, and Meteora accompanied by an English-speaking guide. This tour includes visits to additional important sites.

Tour Details

Day 1

After collecting you from your hotel in Athens, we'll travel west by coach to the Corinth Canal, an impressive man-made canal. Next, we will proceed to Epidaurus to visit its preserved Ancient Theatre known for its acoustics. The day concludes at a hotel in Olympia, where we will have dinner and time to explore Olympia at leisure.

Day 2

The tour continues with the archaeological site of Olympia, featuring the altar of the Olympic Torch and the Stadium of the first Olympic Games. Following this, we will travel to Delphi, considered the center of the world, where we will spend the night.

Day 3

After breakfast, we will explore the archaeological remains of Delphi and the Archaeological Museum showcasing items from the excavations. We will then proceed to Kalambaka for our third night, set against stunning sandstone rock formations.

Day 4

The final day begins with a visit to Meteora to see the stunning 11th-century monasteries on cliffs. We will typically visit 2 monasteries, such as St. Stephen, Varlaam, Gran Meteoro, or Rousanou, depending on availability. On the return to Athens, a stop will be made at Thermopylae to see the Statue of King Leonidas. Arrival back in Athens is expected between 6:30 pm and 7 pm.

Hotel Pickup

The tour includes hotel pickup and drop-off from most hotels in Athens. An email will be sent with alternative meeting point information if your hotel is not listed.
