We will gather at the designated location on Auburn Avenue to embark on a civil rights tour through Atlanta, focusing on the impact of Martin Luther King in the heart of Georgia!
Throughout our journey, we will thoroughly examine the civil rights movement's history in the United States, highlighting the life of one of the most renowned advocates for social justice.
As we follow the path of Martin Luther King, we'll pass significant sites from his life, including the outside of his childhood residence and the Ebenezer Baptist Church, which played a pivotal role in his upbringing. We will also make a stop at the final resting place of both Martin Luther King and his spouse.
Following this, we will engage in a discussion about the African-American community's history and assess the legislative changes concerning equality that have occurred over the years while traversing the International Civil Rights Walk of Fame.
Our tour will continue with visits to Wheat Street Church and the oldest fire station in Atlanta, both significant landmarks in the journey toward racial equality. Additionally, we will discover various impressive urban art murals along the way.
After approximately two hours of exploration, we will wrap up our tour at the Jackson Street Bridge.
