Routes and Stops

The Auckland Explorer Bus provides a comfortable tour through iconic areas. This double-decker bus offers panoramic views and features a recorded audio guide in English.

The Red Tour focuses on the downtown and central Auckland areas and eastern highlights like the Sky Tower, Auckland Art Gallery, and Auckland War Memorial Museum.

The Blue Tour covers central and western Auckland, including Mt. Eden, Auckland Zoo, and MOTAT. Note that the Blue Outer Tour is only available during the summer season, between November and April.

How it Works

Your ticket will be valid for 24 or 48 hours from the first use, allowing you to hop on and off as needed.

Frequency and Schedule

The Auckland tourist bus operates at the following times:

Red route: Every day of the year from 9 am to 4 pm, with a frequency of every 30 minutes. The full non-stop tour lasts around 70 minutes.Blue route: Operates from November to April from 9 am to 4 pm, with a frequency of every 30 minutes. The full non-stop tour takes about 50 minutes.
