On this day trip to Rotorua, Wai-O-Tapu and Te Puia, we will explore three notable locations in New Zealand.

Day Trip Details

We will pick you up from your hotel in Auckland at the scheduled time and begin the journey south through the Waikato region.

During the trip, we will discuss the features of one of the largest agricultural areas globally, viewing landscapes with rivers, mountains, and livestock. A coffee and refreshments stop will be included.

We will pass through Tirau, known as the Corrugated Iron Capital of the World, where we will see unique sculptures and buildings made from this material.

In Rotorua, a panoramic tour will visit attractions like Lake Rotorua, the Government Gardens, the Rotorua Museum, Whangapipiro Rachel Spring, and the Blue Baths.

Next, we will visit the Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Reserve to explore its geothermal features, including Champagne Lake, Devil's Bath, mud pools, and craters. This area may have a distinct smell. After this tour, you will have free time for lunch at a local restaurant.

At Te Puia, enjoy a 1.5-hour guided tour of M?ori culture, including a stroll through the geothermal valley, a visit to the kiwi conservation centre, and witnessing the P?hutu geyser, which can erupt up to 30 m (98 ft).

We will return to Auckland and conclude the trip at your hotel after 11 hours of activity.
