On this day trip to Rotorua, Wai-O-Tapu and Te Puia, we will explore three significant attractions of New Zealand, focusing on one of the country's renowned geothermal areas.
Day Trip Details
We will pick you up from your hotel in Auckland at the specified time and start our journey south through the Waikato region.
During the drive, we will highlight the secrets of one of the largest agricultural areas in New Zealand, showcasing landscapes with rivers, mountains, and various animals like cows, horses, and sheep. There will be a stop for coffee and refreshments.
We will pass through Tirau, known as the Corrugated Iron Capital of the World, featuring unique sculptures and buildings. After Tirau, we will reach Rotorua for a panoramic tour of attractions including Lake Rotorua, Government Gardens, Rotorua Museum, Whangapipiro Rachel Spring pool, and Blue Baths.
Next, we will visit the Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Reserve to see Champagne Lake, Devil's Bath, mud pools, and craters. You will have free time for lunch at a local restaurant.
After lunch, we'll head to Te Puia for a 1.5-hour guided tour exploring M?ori culture, visiting the geothermal valley, a kiwi conservation center, and witnessing the P?hutu geyser, which can reach heights of up to 30 m (98 ft).
We will return to Auckland and conclude the trip at your hotel after approximately 11 hours.
