Wai-O-Tapu & Rotorua Excursion

At the appointed time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Auckland and embark on a tour of Wai-O-Tapu & Rotorua. We'll travel south through the Waikato countryside, known for its agricultural significance. The journey will feature scenery with rivers, mountains, and wildlife including cows, horses, and sheep, along with a coffee stop.

We will pass through Tirau, noted for its corrugated iron structures. Following Tirau, we will visit the Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland, observing attractions such as Champagne Lake, Devil's Bath, mud pools, and craters. Be prepared for distinct odors typical of geothermal areas.

Next, we will head to Rotorua for a sightseeing tour of key attractions like Lake Rotorua, Government Gardens, Rotorua Museum, and Whangapipiro (Rachel Spring). You will have one hour of free time to have lunch in a restaurant.

After the tour, we will return to Auckland, concluding your day with a total of 11 hours of activity.
