On this guided tour of Austin, we'll explore the history and highlights of the Texas capital.
Description
At the scheduled time, we'll meet in front of Jo's Coffee. From there, we'll begin our guided tour of Austin, walking through the historic centre of the city.
We'll walk along Congress Avenue, leading to one of Austin's key landmarks, the Texas Capitol.
Before reaching this site, we'll stop by the historic Speakeasy bar, where we'll present before and after images of the area.
Continuing along the avenue, we'll arrive at the Capitol, which is bigger than the Capitol in Washington DC. This impressive structure was completed in 1888 and is designed in neo-Renaissance style.
After viewing the Capitol, we'll admire the Moody Theatre, a modern live music venue that hosts around 100 concerts annually and can accommodate 2750 people. We recommend visiting if you are in Austin for a few days.
After a stroll of about one hour and fifteen to one hour and thirty minutes through the highlights of the Texan capital, we'll conclude our guided tour of Austin at the starting point.
