Texas Hill Country Wine Tasting + BBQ

At the scheduled meeting time, we will gather at 103 E. 5th Street. From there, our minibus will depart from the heart of Texas to embark on a journey through the picturesque Texas Hill Country, located in the southeastern area of the Edwards Plateau, known for its rolling hills and expansive vineyards.

Our first destination will be The Salt Lick restaurant, a legendary name in Texas barbecue. You'll enjoy an hour and a half to indulge in their mouth-watering offerings, featuring perfectly seasoned tender ribs, sausages, and turkey legs—all a feast for the senses!

Once we have satisfied our appetites, we will reconvene at the minibus. While Texas is renowned for its succulent barbecue, it is also recognized for its outstanding wine production. In fact, the Texas Hill Country ranks as the third largest wine region in the country.

Our exploration will include visits to two different wineries, where you can wander through their vineyards, uncover the secrets behind their fine wines, and, if you wish, sample some of their exceptional blends at your leisure.

After a delightful four and a half hours of exploration, we will conclude our tour at the original meeting point.
