Mustafapa?a, Sobessos + So?anli Valley Tour

We will pick you up from your hotel in Cappadocia between 9 am and 9:30 am to begin a tour of lesser-known areas of the region.

The first stop is Mustafapa?a, an ancient Greek city also known as Sinasos, linked to Orthodox history and notable for its role in the Turkish War of Independence.

Next, we will visit Sobessos, located just outside Sahinefendi. This Roman settlement, uncovered by treasure hunters in 2002, includes remains such as the baths, agora, basilica, and bouleuterion.

After exploring Sobessos, you will have one hour of free time for lunch at a local restaurant. Following lunch, we will proceed to the So?anli Valley, known for its rock-hewn churches of various architectural styles. A short hike will allow us to explore the temples and their frescoes.

We will also visit the Keslik Monastery, known for its frescoes visible only by torchlight. The tour concludes with a visit to Avanos, renowned for its handicrafts, where you can participate in a pottery workshop.

The tour will finish with a return to your hotel in Cappadocia between 4 pm and 4:30 pm.
