Explore the beautiful region in southeast France with this Provence Day Trip from Avignon. You'll visit Gordes, Saint Rémy, Roussillon, and Pont du Gard.

Day Trip Details

We'll meet at the tourist office in Avignon to board a minibus for our journey through Provence. Our first stop will be Roussillon, known for its ochre-colored houses and cliffs. Here, you'll have the chance to walk through the village and visit the central square. On Thursdays, a visit to the traditional market will be included.

Next, we will head to Gordes for a brief photo opportunity before continuing to Fontaine de Vaucluse. In Fontaine de Vaucluse, enjoy some free time to explore local restaurants along the Sorgues River.

The tour continues to Saint Rémy, famed for its landscapes and as an inspiration for Vincent Van Gogh's paintings. Afterward, we'll stop at Les Baux de Provence, providing you with approximately one hour of free time to explore the medieval fortress at your leisure.

Lastly, we will visit the Pont du Gard, an aqueduct from the Roman Empire, where you'll learn about its conservation and significance. We'll conclude our trip with a return to Avignon after a total of 10.5 hours.
