Explore the beautiful region in southeast France with this Provence Day Trip from Avignon. You'll visit Gordes, Saint Rémy, Roussillon, and Pont du Gard.

Day Trip Details

We will meet at the tourist office in Avignon at the indicated time to board a minibus for our journey through Provence. Our first stop will be Roussillon, known for its ochre-colored houses. You will have the opportunity to walk through this picturesque village and view the ochre cliffs, including Le Sentier des Ocres. On Thursdays, we will visit its traditional market.

Next, we will briefly stop at Gordes for photo opportunities before continuing inland to Fontaine de Vaucluse, where you can stroll by the Sorgues River and enjoy some free time at a local restaurant.

We will then head to Saint Rémy, where you can see landscapes that inspired Vincent Van Gogh. Following this, we will visit Les Baux de Provence, allowing you about one hour of free time to explore this medieval fortress at your leisure.

Lastly, we will visit the iconic Pont du Gard, an ancient Roman aqueduct. You will learn about its history and significance. We will return to Avignon after a 10.5-hour day trip.
