Explore the beautiful region in southeast France with this Provence Day Trip from Avignon. You'll visit Gordes, Saint Rémy, Roussillon, and Pont du Gard.

Day Trip Details

We'll meet at the tourist office in Avignon at the indicated time to board a minibus for our journey through Provence. Our first stop will be Roussillon, known for its ochre-colored houses. We'll explore the village and its famous ochre cliffs, including Le Sentier des Ocres. On Thursdays, we will visit the traditional market.

Next, we will visit Gordes, taking a brief stop for photographs, before heading inland to Fontaine de Vaucluse. Here, you can walk along the Sorgues River and enjoy free time to visit a local restaurant.

Then, we will proceed to Saint Rémy, surrounded by picturesque landscapes. We will also stop at Les Baux de Provence, where you will have about an hour of free time to explore the medieval fortress independently.

Our final stop will be the renowned Pont du Gard, an aqueduct from the Roman Empire. We will discuss its excellent conservation and significance for nearby villages.

Finally, we will return to Avignon and arrive back at the starting point after a 10.5-hour day trip.
