- 10 - 11 Stunden
Explore the Somiedo Natural Park with this excursion from Avilés and discover the landscapes and scenery of Asturias. Enjoy a unique perspective on our small group tour.
Somiedo Natural Park Day Trip
At the scheduled time, we will meet at the Avilés Central Station and travel southwest to Somiedo Natural Park. You'll have a personalized experience in a group limited to a maximum of 8 people. Our compact vehicles facilitate access to inaccessible locations such as Aguino or Perlunes viewpoints, as we venture beyond the main tourist areas.
We will arrive in Perlunes, located in the heart of Somiedo Natural Park, which is home to the Cantabrian brown bear and notable valleys and lakes. The park consists of four valleys in the central Cantabrian Mountains.
Our route continues to Pola de Somiedo, featured in the book A Journey through Spain in the years 1786 and 1787 by Joseph Townsend. Here, we will also visit the Somiedo Natural Park Interpretation Centre.
Next, we will head to Alto Farrapona for a hike around the Saliencia Lakes, exploring this area for 1 hour for photo opportunities. Subsequently, we will visit the Ecomuseum of Somiedo to learn about the local life and rural essence.
Finally, we will conclude the excursion by returning to Avilés, arriving approximately 10 to 11 hours after the initial pickup.
