Cangallo Falls Hiking Tour
At 7:50 am, we'll meet at the Plaza de Armas and then head south of Ayacucho towards the waterfalls of Cangallo. We'll follow the "Route of the Cangallo Falls", renowned for its legendary waterfalls, where ritual offerings were practiced by the indigenous people. These waters are considered to have magical properties.
The tour begins with a hiking route to the Pumapaqcha waterfall, with a total round-trip time of about 40 minutes. Next, we will proceed to the Batán and Qorimaqma waterfalls, located along the Chankil and Macromayo rivers, which will take approximately 1.5 hours.
After the hike, a bus will transport us to the Huahuapuquio pool, where participants can enjoy a bath in its mineral-rich thermal waters. There will be free time for lunch, as a restaurant is available at the pool.
Lastly, we will return to Ayacucho, making a brief stop at the town of Cangallo. We expect to arrive back at the meeting point in Ayacucho around 8 pm.
