Hiking and Kayaking at the Emerald Lagoon

Embark on a journey from Ayacucho to the Andean highlands towards Huanta. Enjoy a half-hour trek to the Verdecocha or Emerald Lagoon at an altitude of 4300 meters. Experience kayaking on the uniquely colored lake and learn about its characteristics.

After exploring the lagoon, visit the Uchuraccay sanctuary before heading to Huanta for lunch. Taste local cuisine and take a brief tour of the town, known as the Emerald of the Andes. Conclude the tour by returning to Ayacucho by 6 pm.
