Huatuscalla & Huanta Excursion
At 9:15 am, we'll meet at Plaza de Armas, the main square in Ayacucho, to begin a day immersed in nature.
We will head towards the Huatuscalla canyon, one of the highest altitude areas in Luricocha. Upon arrival, we will embark on a 30-minute hike up a gentle slope to the viewpoint of Huatuscalla, located at 3,060 meters above sea level. Here, panoramic views of the confluence of the Huarpa and Cachi rivers, which form the Mantaro River, will be available. After photos, you'll have free time for lunch.
Next, we will board the bus to visit Huanta, known as the Emerald of the Andes. We will tour the town, visiting its main monuments, including the Matriz Church and the Municipal Palace, along with various archaeological sites and ruins. The tour will conclude with a tasting of huanteño liquors.
Finally, we will return to Ayacucho, dropping you off at the meeting point at 5 pm.
