Peruvian History Tour

At 9:30 am, we'll meet in the Plaza Mayor square and depart for an hour and a half to the Wari Archaeological Complex. Here, we'll explore the remains of the first Andean civilization from the 7th to 13th centuries, including the Site Museum and archaeological pieces. The itinerary includes a visit to the Templo Mayor and the underground tunnels used as tombs.

Afterward, we'll proceed to Quinua, known for its crafts and pottery, reflecting the ancient Wari culture in figurines of musicians, llamas, and roosters.

Close to Quinua is the Pampas de Ayacucho Historic Sanctuary, site of the Battle of Ayacucho, which ended Spanish rule in Latin America. Optionally, participants can experience a horse ride in the area.

We will return to Ayacucho by 2:30 pm.
