Vilcashuamán and Pumacocha Day Trip
After meeting in the Plaza Mayor of Ayacucho at 8 am, we'll board the bus and begin our journey to see the Puyas de Raimondi.
The tour continues to the Pumacocha Archaeological Complex, featuring remains of a resting place for the higher classes of Inca culture, including the tower, sundial or Intihuatana, and palace remnants.
We will take a short break for lunch before heading to the Archaeological Complex of Vilcashuamán, the former Inca administrative center.
At Vilcashuamán, we will explore the trapezoid-shaped plaza, accommodating up to 20,000 people. To the south lies the ancient Temple of the Sun, beneath which the church of San Juan Bautista was erected in the 16th century.
The trip concludes with our return to Ayacucho, arriving around 8 pm.
