Vilcashuamán and Pumacocha Day Trip
After meeting in the Plaza Mayor of Ayacucho at 8 am, we'll get on the bus and set off to see the Puyas de Raimondi.
The tour will continue to the Pumacocha Archaeological Complex, where we'll see the architectural remains of a resting place for the higher classes of the Inca culture, including the tower, the sundial or Intihuatana, and the remains of the palace.
Before continuing, we'll take a short break for lunch. Afterward, we'll head to the Archaeological Complex of Vilcashuamán, the former Inca administrative centre.
Inside, we'll explore the trapezoid-shaped plaza that can hold up to 20,000 people. To the south is the ancient Temple of the Sun, above which the church of San Juan Bautista was built in the 16th century.
At the end of the trip, we'll return to Ayacucho, arriving by around 8 pm.
