Vilcashuamán and Pumacocha Day Trip
After meeting in the Plaza Mayor of Ayacucho at 8 am, we'll board the bus and start the trip to see the Puyas de Raimondi, also referred to as the "queen of the Andes".
The tour will continue to the Pumacocha Archaeological Complex, which features architectural remnants that served as a resting area for the higher classes of the Inca culture, including the tower, the sundial or Intihuatana, and the remains of the palace.
A short break will be provided for lunch before proceeding to the Archaeological Complex of Vilcashuamán, which was the Inca administrative center.
Within the site, we will observe the trapezoid-shaped plaza, accommodating up to 20,000 people. To the south lies the ancient Temple of the Sun, on which the church of San Juan Bautista was constructed in the 16th century.
At the conclusion of the trip, we will return to Ayacucho, arriving around 8 pm.
