Kohunlich and Dzibanché Tour
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Bacalar to visit two ancient Mayan settlements located in the Mexican jungle of Quintana Roo.
First, we'll visit the archaeological site of Dzibanché, one of the state's significant Mayan cities, believed to date back to 200 BC. The site features various temples and is surrounded by lush jungle. There may be opportunities to see howler monkeys and exotic birds.
Next, we will travel to the archaeological site of Kohunlich, known for its ceremonial center with multiple architectural complexes. We will walk through the acropolis to view the Temple of the Masks, featuring five figures representing aspects of Mayan life, and the Temple of the 27 Steps, along with other notable sites.
Before returning to Bacalar, we will stop at a restaurant in the jungle for a meal that includes a main course, starter, dessert, and drink.
After an 8-hour tour, we will conclude the excursion and return you to your hotel.
