On this excursion to Kohunlich and Dzibanché from Bacalar, we will explore two significant Mayan sites in the Quintana Roo jungle.

Kohunlich and Dzibanché Tour

At the scheduled time, we will pick you up at your hotel in Bacalar to visit two ancient Mayan settlements located in the Mexican jungle of Quintana Roo.

First, we will visit the archaeological site of Dzibanché, an important Mayan city believed to have origins dating back to 200 BC. The site features various temples and is surrounded by lush jungle, where there is a chance to see howler monkeys and various exotic birds.

Next, we will travel to the archaeological site of Kohunlich, a ceremonial center with multiple architectural complexes. We will explore the acropolis and visit the Temple of the Masks, which includes 5 figures symbolizing aspects of Mayan ceremonial life, as well as the Temple of the 27 Steps and other notable sites.

Before we return to Bacalar, we will stop at a restaurant in the jungle to enjoy a menu that includes a main course, starter, dessert, and drink.

After an 8-hour tour, we will conclude the excursion and return you to your hotel.
