Lake Bacalar Sailboat Cruise

We will meet at your chosen time at the dock on Avenida 5 to board a new sailboat and begin our journey through Lake Bacalar, also known as the Lake of the Seven Colors.

During the tour, we will visit Cenote Esmeralda, a serene area resembling a Caribbean beach with fine sand. The varying colors of Lake Bacalar are due to the calcium and sulfur found underground, which contribute to its unique appearance.

Additionally, we will pass by Cenote Negro, Cenote Azul, Birds Island, and the stromatolite area. While enjoying the landscapes, refreshments including guacamole with water and beer will be served aboard the sailboat.

We will explore the mangrove area, observing three types: red, white, and button mangroves, which provide habitat for various wildlife, including hawks.

After a total of 4 hours of sailing, we will return to the starting point to conclude the activity.
