Tour Description

We'll meet on the Bacoli coast at the designated time, specifically at the Shopping Area on Via Miseno, to begin our tour along the Santuario degli Uccelli hiking path.

We'll walk to the slopes of the old Miseno crater, formed somewhere between 10,000 and 25,000 years ago. The local geology has encouraged numerous bird species to settle here, making this area a true sanctuary for these animals. Keep an eye out during our hiking tour, as you may spot seagulls flying back to their nests.

We will continue our route along this ancient path, surrounded by Mediterranean oak trees and shrubs. You'll get impressive views of Monte di Procida, where the remains of the ancient Archiflegrean Volcano lie.

Once we've reached the highest point, we will find a scenic view of the Pozzuoli Gulf and the islands of Ischia, Capri, and Procida. You might even spot the Miseno Lighthouse in the distance. Don’t forget to take some photos.

At this point, we will begin our descent down a path that runs through the crater’s interior, leading us to an area near the Cape Miseno Lighthouse. After a 2-hour hike, our tour will come to an end.
