Bad Tölz Guided Tour
At the appointed time we'll meet at Max-Höfler-Platz to start our guided tour through Bad Tölz. Colorful houses, a peaceful atmosphere, and a breathtaking view of the Isar River and the Pre-Alps will be the highlights of this tour.
We'll begin with a walk through the town, exploring significant chapters of its history. Bad Tölz has been recorded since the 12th century but gained prominence in 1331. The role of Emperor Ludwig IV of Bavaria will be discussed during our tour.
On our walk, we'll see the façade of the old town hall, now the museum of Bad Tölz, and the parish church of the Assumption. Additionally, we will provide gastronomic recommendations for iconic places to visit post-tour.
We will also reflect on the evolution of the area since the mid-19th century when Bad Tölz became one of the key spa towns in Bavaria. Expect to learn continuously!
After an hour and a half of sightseeing, we will conclude our guided tour of Bad Tölz with a farewell at Marktstrasse, designed by architect Gabriel von Seidl.
