Yeso Cave Guided Tour

Explore one of the notable natural monuments of Baena on a guided tour of the Yeso Cave, a gypsum cave in the Guadalquivir Valley. We will meet at the entrance of the Yeso Cave (Cueva del Yeso) at your chosen time to visit the fourth-largest gypsum cave in Spain.

The Cueva del Yeso is the only cave of water origin in the province of Córdoba, discovered in the mid-20th century. During the tour, we will walk through its galleries and learn about its formation millions of years ago.

Visitors will see several underground lakes, cavities up to 12 meters deep, and gypsum formations reaching almost 60 meters in thickness. The tour will also cover various curiosities and legends associated with the cave, including its alleged connection to the Arab towers near Baena and the presence of an endangered bat population.

After a 45-minute visit, we will conclude the tour outside the Cueva del Yeso.
