On this guided tour of Baeza, we will explore the historic center of this World Heritage City, including the Cathedral of the Nativity.
Baeza Guided Tour
The guided tour of Baeza will begin at Calle San Pablo, 8. As we walk through this UNESCO-listed city, we will learn about key monuments such as the Tower of the Aliatares, a remnant of the ancient Andalusian wall. Next, we will visit Barbacana St and the city's 16th-century granary.
We will proceed to Constitution and Pópulo squares, where we will see historic civilian buildings, including the old Public Notaries. Nearby, we will also visit the Palace of Jabalquinto and the church of Santa Cruz.
The tour will continue inside the old University of Baeza, with a tribute to the writer Antonio Machado, followed by the Cathedral of the Nativity, showcasing Gothic to Renaissance architectural styles. From the lookout point of the old city walls, we will observe the Guadalquivir Valley and the Cazorla and Mágina mountain ranges.
The tour will conclude with a tasting of olive oil, a typical product of Jaén.
