Baeza Guided Tour + Cathedral

On this guided tour of Baeza, we will explore its historic center and visit the Cathedral of the Nativity.

Baeza Guided Tour

The tour begins at Calle San Pablo, 8. We will learn about the history of monuments like the Tower of the Aliatares, part of the ancient wall from the Andalusian period. Next, we will visit Barbacana Street and the 16th-century granary.

We will continue to Constitution and Pópulo squares to see historic civilian buildings, including the old Public Notaries and the Palace of Jabalquinto. Inside the church of Santa Cruz, we will appreciate its heritage.

We will tour the old University of Baeza, remembering writer Antonio Machado, and the Cathedral of the Nativity, showcasing Gothic and Renaissance styles. From the lookout point of the old city walls, we will view the Guadalquivir Valley and the Cazorla and Mágina mountain ranges.

The tour concludes with a tasting of olive oil, a hallmark product of the province of Jaén.
