Baeza Tourist Train
The route begins at Plaza de los Leones, featuring buildings such as the Carnicerías Públicas, the Clerkship, and the Civil High Court, along with the Villalar Arch, Azacaya Gate, and Los Leones Fountain. The train follows the town's streets to Plaza de España.
The journey proceeds to the old walls, near the clock tower and the Úbeda Gate, offering views of the Guadalquivir Valley that inspired poet Antonio Machado. We will explore the medieval streets leading to Plaza de Santa María, where notable sites include the Santa María Fountain, the San Felipe Neri Seminary, and the San Isidoro and Nuestra Señora de la Natividad Cathedral.
The final segment of the tour showcases the Jabalquinto Palace and the 18th-century university, concluding back at Plaza de los Leones.
Times and Frequency
The train operates daily every 45 minutes from Plaza de los Leones. Boarding is permitted with a ticket during the following times:
July to August: 11:15 am - 1:30 pm and 5 pm - 8 pm.Rest of the year: 11:15 am - 1:30 pm and 4:15 pm - 6 pm; no service Sunday afternoon. Winter months do not include the 7:15 pm departure; the last is at 6:30 pm.Christmas period: 11:15 am - 1:30 pm and 4:15 pm - 5 pm.
The train ride lasts approximately 30 minutes, starting and ending at the same location.
Changes in the itinerary
If the minimum participant requirement (9 people) is not met, the tour will be conducted on an electric bus instead of a tourist train.
