Whale & Dolphin Watching
The Uvita coastline ranks among the top locations in Costa Rica for viewing whales, dolphins, and other cetacean species. However, it's important to remember that animal behavior can be unpredictable. The chances of encountering varying numbers of these creatures depend on numerous factors, including current weather conditions and the breeding cycles of different species, especially between December and April as well as July and October.
Rainy Season
Please understand that while whales can also be seen from July to October, these months fall under the rainy season in the area. As a result, visibility may be decreased, and activities such as swimming or snorkeling may face interruptions.
