Whale Watching in Marino Ballena National Park
- 4 Stunden
In this whale watching activity in the Marino Ballena National Park, we'll sail along the coast of Uvita, one of the best places in Costa Rica to spot dolphins and whales.
Whale Watching in Marino Ballena National Park
After meeting at 8:30 am at the entrance of the Marino Ballena National Park in Uvita, we'll walk to a nearby dock to set off on a cruise along the western coast of Costa Rica.
As we sail along the Pacific, we'll admire different specimens of whales and dolphins. Additionally, we'll see various kinds of sea turtles that inhabit this rich ecosystem.
We'll continue our journey to Isla Ballena. Stopping on the shores of this uninhabited islet, you'll have 45 minutes to snorkel and swim in the open sea.
Then, we'll return to the boat and sail toward the sea caves of Ventana Beach, where you'll be able to take pictures of these caves, known for their stone arches eroded by the sea.
Finally, at 12 pm, we'll conclude the boat ride through the Marino Ballena National Park by returning to the starting point.
Whale & dolphin watching
The coast of Uvita is a prime location to see whales, dolphins, and other cetaceans. However, animals are unpredictable. The number of sightings will depend on factors such as weather conditions and the breeding seasons of different species.
