In this whale watching activity in the Marino Ballena National Park, participants will sail along the coast of Uvita, known for its dolphin and whale sightings.
Activity Details
Participants will meet at 8:30 am at the entrance of the Marino Ballena National Park in Uvita, followed by a walk to a nearby dock for an unforgettable cruise along Costa Rica's western coast.
During the sail, cetaceans such as whales and dolphins can be spotted, along with various species of sea turtles inhabiting this ecosystem.
The journey will continue to Isla Ballena, where there will be a 45-minute stop for snorkeling and swimming in the open sea.
Afterwards, the group will return to the boat and head towards the sea caves of Ventana Beach, offering opportunities for pictures of these unique stone arches formed by coastal erosion.
The boat ride will conclude at 12 pm, returning to the starting point.

The Uvita coast is renowned for sightings of whales, dolphins, and other cetaceans. However, sightings can vary due to factors such as weather and the breeding seasons of different species, particularly from December to April and July to October.
