On our Mount St. Helens Day Trip from Seattle, we will follow the course of the Toutle River and admire this stratovolcano in Skamania County, taking in scenery from Johnston Ridge.
Mount St. Helens Day Trip
At 7:30 am, pickup from your hotel in Seattle will begin our southbound journey to Mount St. Helens. The trip to the Mount St. Helens National Monument will take approximately 3 hours. We will stop for breakfast at either the Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge or Lewis & Clark State Park.
After breakfast, we will continue to Mount St. Helens, where a short hike along the Tout River will provide an opportunity to explore the area's diverse scenery affected by the volcanic eruption in 1980.
At 1:30 pm, we will enjoy a picnic lunch while taking in views of the active stratovolcano. Following lunch, we will visit the Johnston Ridge Visitors Centre to further appreciate the scale of Mount St. Helens.
The day trip will conclude with our return to your hotel in Seattle by 7:30 pm.
