We will meet at Pozo da Aguada to start this private tour of Baiona, a city rich in history.

The tour begins on the seafront promenade, where we will view Mount Boi and the castle of Monterreal, now a Parador de Turismo Hotel.

We will continue to admire the Virgen de la Roca, a 49-foot (15 meters) high monument, and then discover the house of Pedro Madruga, a significant historical figure. We will share how the news of the Discovery of America arrived in Baiona via La Pinta, one of Columbus' ships, as well as the coast's history of pirate invasions, including that of Francis Drake.

Next, we will explore the old town of Baiona, walking through narrow streets and passing by iconic structures such as the Ex Collegiate Church of Baiona and the church of Santa Liberata, key points on the Portuguese route of the Camino Santiago.

We will conclude our tour at the promenade, viewing the statue of Alfonso IX, after two hours of sightseeing.
