At the appointed time, we'll meet at Pozo da Aguada to start this private tour of Baiona, a city rich in history.

We'll begin on the seafront promenade, enjoying views of Mount Boi and the castle of Monterreal, which is now a Parador de Turismo Hotel. Afterwards, we will admire the Virgen de la Roca, a 49 feet (15 meters) high monument, and the house of Pedro Madruga, an important figure in Baiona's history.

We will discuss how the news of the Discovery of America arrived in Baiona via La Pinta, one of Columbus' ships, and touch on invasions by pirates such as Francis Drake.

Next, we will explore the old town of Baiona, walking through its narrow streets and passing by landmarks like the Ex Collegiate Church of Baiona and the church of Santa Liberata, both significant on the Portuguese route of the Camino Santiago.

Finally, we will return to the promenade to see the statue of Alfonso IX, marking the end of the tour after two hours of sightseeing.
