With this boat ticket to Ons Island, you'll set sail from Baiona to a key area in the National Park of the Atlantic Islands of Galicia, featuring stunning landscapes.
Boat to Ons Island
At the scheduled time, we will set sail by ferry from the port of Baiona towards the National Park. The journey starts along the Vigo estuary, passing by San Martiño, Montefaro, and Monteagudo, the primary regions of the Cíes Islands. Although we won't visit this archipelago, you'll see the famous Rodas beach from the boat.
The crossing lasts approximately one hour and 15 minutes to reach the Pontevedra estuary, home to Ons Island. Upon arrival, you will have the rest of the day to explore its natural environment.
During your free time, you can enjoy lunch, relax on quiet beaches, or explore one of its four hiking trails, including a path leading to the Ons lighthouse, one of Spain's largest.
We will reconvene at the dock of Ons Island for the return trip to Baiona.
Authorization to visit Ons Island
Ons Island is a protected area with a daily quota of visitors. To visit, you must have an authorization from the Xunta de Galicia.
During high season (from May 15 to September 15 and during Holy Week), you need to bring your own authorization from the Xunta de Galicia. This will be sent via email. At other times, the guide will provide it on the tour day.
