Boat to Ons Island

At the scheduled time, we'll depart by ferry from Baiona towards the National Park of the Atlantic Islands of Galicia. We will navigate through the Vigo estuary, passing by San Martiño, Montefaro, and Monteagudo, which are part of the Cíes Islands. Although this archipelago is not on the itinerary, views of the famous Rodas beach will be visible from the boat.

The crossing lasts approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes and continues into the Pontevedra estuary, where Ons Island is situated. Upon arrival, you'll have the rest of the day free to explore its natural environment, enjoy lunch, relax on its beaches, or hike one of its four trails, including one leading to the Ons lighthouse.

We will reconvene at the dock of Ons Island at the specified time for the return journey to Baiona.

Authorization to visit Ons Island

Access to Ons Island requires authorization from the Xunta de Galicia, due to a daily visitor quota. During high season (May 15 to September 15 and Holy Week), you must present your own authorization, which will be emailed to you in advance. In the off-season, this authorization will be provided by the guide on tour day.

If you need to cancel, please notify us at least 15 days in advance with the name of the individual to remove them from the Xunta de Galicia list.

Ons Island Guided Visit

From October 1 to May 14 (except during Holy Week), the ferry ticket includes a 1-hour guided visit around Ons Island.

Return Schedule

The ferry will return from Ons Island at 6 pm. Your ticket allows same-day travel to and from Ons Island. If you wish to return on a different day, please contact us.
