Gobustan and Absheron Tour
At the designated time, we'll pick you up at the Baku City Tour's Office for a tour of the Absheron Peninsula. Our first stop is the site of the city's first oil well, drilled in 1871.
Next, we'll pass by the Bibi-Heybat mosque and proceed to Gobustan National Park, home to over 6,000 petroglyphs from the Upper Palaeolithic to the Middle Ages. Here, we will also board an old Soviet cab to approach the mud volcanoes, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
After exploring the mud formations, we'll enjoy a buffet lunch around 1 pm in the vicinity of Baku.
Finally, we will visit the Absheron peninsula to see Yanar Dag fire mountain and the Temple of Fire, where we will learn about Zoroastrianism, a local religion.
The tour will conclude with our return to the meeting point in Baku after 7.5 hours.
