With this fantastic tour of Gobustan and the Absheron Peninsula, you'll explore mud volcanoes, petroglyphs, the Temple of Fire, and a burning mountain.

Gobustan and Absheron Tour

At the designated time, we will pick you up at the Baku City Tour's Office and begin the tour of the Absheron Peninsula. Our first stop is the site of the city's first oil well, drilled in 1871.

We will continue by passing the Bibi-Heybat mosque, then head to Gobustan National Park, where you can view over 6,000 petroglyphs from the Upper Palaeolithic to the Middle Ages. Visitors will also have the chance to board an old Soviet cab to approach the UNESCO-listed mud volcanoes, a World Heritage Site.

After exploring these formations, we will have a buffet lunch around 1 pm near Baku.

The tour concludes with a visit to the Absheron peninsula, where we will see Yanar Dag fire mountain and the Temple of Fire, learning about Zoroastrianism, a significant religion of the region.

We will return to the meeting point in Baku after 7.5 hours.
