Gobustan and Absheron Tour
At the designated time, we will pick you up at the Baku City Tour's Office and begin our exploration of the Absheron Peninsula. Our first stop is the site of the city's first oil well, drilled in 1871.
Next, we will pass by the Bibi-Heybat mosque and proceed to Gobustan National Park, home to over 6,000 petroglyphs dating from the Upper Palaeolithic to the Middle Ages. Here, we will have the opportunity to board an old Soviet cab to approach the UNESCO-protected mud volcanoes.
After viewing the mud formations, we will have a buffet lunch around 1 pm in the vicinity of Baku.
Our tour continues to the Absheron Peninsula to see the Yanar Dag fire mountain and visit the Temple of Fire, where we will learn about Zoroastrianism, a local religion.
We will conclude the tour by returning to the meeting point in Baku after approximately 7.5 hours.
