Gobustan and Absheron Tour

At the designated time, we will pick you up at the Baku City Tour's Office for a tour of the Absheron Peninsula. Our first stop will be the location of the city’s first oil well, drilled in 1871.

Next, we will pass by the Bibi-Heybat mosque and proceed to Gobustan National Park, home to over 6,000 petroglyphs ranging from the Upper Palaeolithic to the Middle Ages. There will be an opportunity to ride in an old Soviet cab to get closer to the mud volcanoes, which are a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

After viewing the mud volcanoes, we will have a buffet lunch around 1 pm in the vicinity of Baku.

The tour will then continue to the Absheron Peninsula to see Yanar Dag, the fire mountain, and visit the Temple of Fire where we will learn about Zoroastrianism, a significant local religion.

We will conclude the tour by returning to the meeting point in Baku after approximately 7.5 hours.
