With this fantastic tour of Gobustan and the Absheron Peninsula, you'll explore mud volcanoes, petroglyphs, the Temple of Fire, and a burning mountain.

Gobustan and Absheron Tour

At the designated time, we'll pick you up at the Baku City Tour's Office for a tour of the Absheron Peninsula. Our first stop is the site of the city's first oil well, drilled in 1871.

We will pass by the Bibi-Heybat mosque, then proceed to Gobustan National Park, home to more than 6,000 petroglyphs from the Upper Palaeolithic to the Middle Ages. Here, we will have the opportunity to board an old Soviet cab to approach the UNESCO-protected mud volcanoes designated as a World Heritage Site.

After viewing these formations, we'll have a buffet lunch around 1 pm near Baku.

Finally, we will visit the Absheron peninsula to see the Yanar Dag fire mountain and explore the Temple of Fire, where we will learn about Zoroastrianism, a local religion.

The tour concludes at the meeting point in Baku after 7.5 hours.
