Salinas del Gualicho Trip

At the scheduled time, we will pick you up in Las Grutas before heading to Salinas del Gualicho: the second largest depression in Argentina.

Upon arrival, we will explore the expansive salt deposits located 236 feet below sea level, covering an area of 166 square miles. During the tour, we will discuss the 8000 uses of salt.

Next, we will visit the industrial area where salt crystals are harvested and packed, as well as view salt piles that can accumulate up to 450,000 tons. We will enjoy a stunning sunset over Salinas del Gualicho.

While watching the sunset, we will serve a delicious Creole dinner outdoors, including chicken with vegetables, bread, wine, mineral water, coffee, and dessert. Afterward, we will take the opportunity to observe the stars using telescopes and other astronomical instruments.

Finally, we will return to Las Grutas, arriving back at the original starting point between 10 pm and midnight, depending on the time of year.
