Valcheta and Petrified Wood Trip

This tour offers a journey from Las Grutas to Valcheta and its Petrified Forest. Departing at 9 am, we will travel along National Route 23, passing through Argentinean Patagonia. In Valcheta, we will visit the handicraft market and learn about the local history, including the use of matras by gauchos. A 45-minute hike through the Valcheta Petrified Forest will showcase fossilized palms and araucarias from 90 million years ago.

Next, we will explore the María Inés Kopp Regional Museum, home to intriguing artifacts. The tour concludes with a lunch by the Valcheta stream, featuring appetizers, salads, a main course, and French desserts. The return to Las Grutas is scheduled for 5 pm.
