Visit one of the first places Christopher Columbus set foot in on his famous voyage with this Gibara Day Trip from Guardalavaca.

Gibara Day Trip

We'll pick you up at your hotel in Guardalavaca at the scheduled time and take you to Gibara, also known as the white village, in one hour.

Our first stop is the fort of Bateria Fernando VII, built in 1817 to protect against corsair attacks. You'll notice its whitewashed walls reflecting Cuba's colonial past.

Next, we’ll visit the Natural History Museum in Plaza de Armas to learn about the region’s geology, botany, and ornithology, with an opportunity to see the skeletons of a pilot whale and a sperm whale.

Then, we’ll head to the viewpoint of Gibara for a panoramic view of the city and Atlantic. Our next destination is the Panadero Cave, where stalactites and stalagmites await, along with names of bakers on the walls.

In the old town of Gibara, enjoy a delicious cocktail and a traditional lunch with options such as beef, chicken, pork, or seafood. Afterward, we will drop you off at your hotel 8 hours after departure.
