Gibara Day Trip
Pickup will be at your hotel in Guardalavaca, and after one hour, we will arrive in Gibara, known as the white village. We'll first visit the fort of Bateria Fernando VII, built in 1817 to protect against corsair attacks, showcasing Cuba's colonial architecture.
Next, we'll head to the historical center to the Natural History Museum in Plaza de Armas, where we will learn about the region's geology, botany, and ornithology, including the skeletons of a pilot whale and a sperm whale.
We will then visit the viewpoint of Gibara for panoramic views of the city and the Atlantic, followed by the Panadero Cave, known for its stalactites, stalagmites, and engravings by bakers.
To conclude the tour, we will have a traditional lunch in the old town, with options including beef, chicken, pork, or seafood. The tour will end with a drop-off at your hotel 8 hours after departure.
