Frozen Waterfalls of Johnston Canyon Trip

At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Mount Royal Hotel parking lot and then head deep into Banff National Park. In about half an hour we'll reach the frozen waterfalls of Johnston Canyon.

After a brief presentation on the route, we'll start the hike along the walkways of Johnston Canyon. The journey will cover a distance of 5.4 kilometers (3.4 miles) and 135 meters (443 feet) in altitude. You will see frozen waterfalls, lakes, and ravines. The guide will provide information about the canyon's formation and highlight fossils in the rocks.

During the walk, you'll have opportunities to capture winter landscapes on your camera. To reenergize, we'll enjoy hot chocolate and cookies.

Finally, we'll return to the starting point of the tour and board the minibus to return to the meeting point in Banff after a 4-hour excursion.
