Frozen Waterfalls of Johnston Canyon Trip

At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Mount Royal Hotel parking lot and then head deep into Banff National Park. In about half an hour, we'll reach the frozen waterfalls of Johnston Canyon.

After a brief presentation on the route, we'll begin the hike along the walkways of Johnston Canyon, enjoying views of the snowy wilderness.

The journey covers a distance of 5.4 kilometers (3.4 miles) with an elevation gain of 135 meters (443 feet). Some of the frozen features include waterfalls, lakes, and ravines. The guide will share insights about the canyon's formation and its fossils.

During the walk, there will be opportunities to capture winter landscapes. To reenergize, we will enjoy hot chocolate and cookies.

Finally, we'll return to the starting point of our tour and board the minibus for the return trip to Banff after a 4-hour excursion.
