Hola Vida Reserve Day Trip

Venture deep into the heart of the Ecuadorian rainforest on our day trip to the Hola Vida Reserve. You'll be enchanted by the landscapes, fauna and flora found in this part of Ecuador.

Hola Vida Reserve Day Trip

At 9 am, we'll meet on Óscar Efrén Reyes Street in Baños de Agua Santa. We'll hop aboard our comfortable vehicle and set off on the 2-hour drive to the Hola Vida Reserve.

Before we get there, we'll stop at the Animal and Bird Rescue Centre, home to numerous rescued monkeys, birds and reptiles. We'll then drive to the Hola Vida Reserve and head into the Ecuadorian rainforest.

Upon arrival, we'll see various medicinal and hallucinogenic plants and a range of insects, including butterflies, beetles, spiders, giant ants, and termites. We will travel along part of the river in some typical small boats.

Next, we'll visit the Puyango community for a lunch of chicken with rice, salad, and vegetable stew.

We'll then hike to the Hola Vida Waterfall, where you may encounter woodpeckers, hyla frogs, and snakes such as chontas and common lanceheads. At the waterfall, you'll have the opportunity to take a refreshing dip in its crystal-clear water.

After an unforgettable day exploring the rainforest, we'll return to Baños de Agua Santa by 9 pm.
