Venture deep into the heart of the Ecuadorian rainforest on our day trip to the Hola Vida Reserve. You'll be enchanted by the landscapes, fauna and flora found in this part of Ecuador.
Hola Vida Reserve Day Trip
At 9 am, we'll meet on Óscar Efrén Reyes Street in Baños de Agua Santa. We'll board our vehicle and embark on a 2-hour drive to the Hola Vida Reserve.
Before arriving, we'll stop at the Animal and Bird Rescue Centre, which houses rescued monkeys, birds, and reptiles. After this visit, we will head to the Hola Vida Reserve.
Upon arrival, we will observe various medicinal and hallucinogenic plants and insects such as butterflies, beetles, spiders, giant ants, and termites. We will also navigate part of the river in typical small boats.
We'll then visit the Puyango community for a lunch of chicken with rice, salad, and vegetable stew.
After lunch, we will hike to the Hola Vida Waterfall. During the hike, look out for woodpeckers, hyla frogs, and snakes like chontas and common lanceheads. At the waterfall, you can take a dip in its crystal-clear water.
After an enriching day in the rainforest, we will return to Baños de Agua Santa by 9 pm.
