Embark on an immersive journey into the vibrant Ecuadorian rainforest with a day trip to the Hola Vida Reserve. This experience promises to captivate you with its stunning scenery and rich biodiversity, showcasing the unique flora and fauna of the region.

Hola Vida Reserve Day Trip

Our adventure begins at 9 am, where we will gather on Óscar Efrén Reyes Street in Baños de Agua Santa. From there, we'll board a comfortable vehicle and commence a scenic two-hour journey towards the Hola Vida Reserve.

En route, we will make a stop at the Animal and Bird Rescue Centre, a remarkable sanctuary that shelters numerous rescued monkeys, birds, and reptiles. After this enriching visit, we will continue our drive to the Hola Vida Reserve, diving deeper into the heart of the Ecuadorian rainforest.

Upon arrival, we will encounter a diverse array of medicinal and hallucinogenic plants, along with a variety of insects like butterflies, beetles, spiders, giant ants, and termites. Additionally, we will have the opportunity to traverse part of the river using traditional small boats.

Following our exploration, we will visit the Puyango community for a traditional lunch, featuring chicken accompanied by rice, salad, and vegetable stew.

After lunch, we will embark on a hike to the stunning Hola Vida Waterfall, nestled within the rainforest. During the trek, you may spot woodpeckers, hyla frogs, and various snake species such as chontas and common lanceheads. Once at the waterfall, you’ll have the chance to take a refreshing dip in its crystal-clear waters.

After a day filled with unforgettable sights and experiences in the rainforest, we will return to Baños de Agua Santa by 9 pm.
