Alejandro de Humboldt National Park Trip
At the designated time, we will pick you up from your hotel in Baracoa to head to the Alejandro de Humboldt National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site recognized in 2001 for its rich biodiversity.
Once in the park, we will visit Taco Bay and embark on the El Recreo trail for a moderate 2-mile (3 km) trek. During the hike, we will observe the local fauna and flora and ascend to a viewpoint offering panoramic views of the bay.
We will continue exploring the park paths amidst palm trees, Mayari pines, and wild orchids. After the trek, you can take a refreshing dip in the Recreo River.
Before returning to Baracoa, you will have free time on the beach of Maguana. Enjoy a local lunch and relax in the turquoise waters and fine sand. This is a fitting reward after the morning hike.
Finally, we will return to Baracoa, concluding the tour as we drop you back at your hotel after a total of 8 hours.
