Day Trip to Mosqueiro Island

If you're in Belém, a visit to Mosqueiro Island is essential, located just off the southern bank of the Pará River. The island has stunning beaches.

We will pick you up from your hotel in Belém at the scheduled time for the trip to Mosqueiro Island, situated north of the city. The island features 17 kilometers (10.5 miles) of beaches.

The island's name derives from a technique used by indigenous people for preserving game and fish. Access to the island involves crossing the Sebastião R. de Oliveira Bridge, a significant 1,485-meter (nearly a mile long) structure.

Upon arrival, we'll begin our exploration at Praça Matriz, where you can sample traditional tapioca. Next, we'll visit the village of Mosqueiro, including the Matriz Church, while sharing stories about the island's history.

You will then have free time at the beach to enjoy the scenery and have lunch at your leisure, allowing you to experience the local cuisine.

After approximately seven hours of exploration, we will return you to your Belém hotel.
